Na’Amat Na'Amat Rachel Ben Zvi (RBZ) is a Club of Na'Amat Greater Washington Council. There are 450 members of this club in Leisure World. Na'Amat is the Hebrew acronym for "Movement of Working Women and Volunteers" and is an organization striving to enhance the quality of life for women, children and families. It was founded as Pioneer Women in 1980. Na'Amat women act nationally and globally in United States and 11 sister countries, in addition to Israel. We are united in belief and in action around issues to improve the status of women at home and in the workplace, from child well-being, from the ability of single parents and new immigrants to build a life for themselves and to end domestic violence. We help women and we help women help themselves.The next Na'Amat meeting will be Wed, Nov 4, 12:30pm, Clubhouse 1, with light refreshments, and Judge Marvin Roth speaking on the Jewish Supreme Court Justices. On Oct 7, RBZ members modeled clothing from the Dress Barn. Thanks to all who helped make our Fashion Show a success. On Tue, Nov 10, join us for shopping at Lord and Taylor. $5 will entitle you to a day of savings and a private day of events and special bonuses. Na'Amat keeps the proceeds. Bring friends. On Nov 29, Na'Amat will sponsor a trip to "Lost in Yonkers" at Theater J and dinner at Alfio's Restaurant in Chevy Chase. Tickets for theater and dinner are $89.
